County Library Offers 50% Amnesty on Overdue Books The County Library is offering a 50% waiver of outstanding fines for overdue items. Library patrons can erase their debt and restore their lending privileges with the settlement of only half their past dues fees! 2009-10 County Proposed Budget Although faced with several difficult budget issues this year due to the current economic climate, the County of San Bernardino's 2009-10 Proposed Budget is balanced and presented here. There are two main sections, the Executive Summary section and the Proposed Budget section. The Executive Summary includes a financing plan, budget summary, general fund financing, year-to-year comparison and sections which summarize requests for general fund financing, as well as a grant summary. The Proposed Budget section contains the detail information for County departments for the period from July 1, 2009 - June 30, 2010.

Home Foreclosure Prevention Seminars A series of foreclosure prevention seminars are scheduled throughout the County. Homeowners will have opportunity to meet with HUD-approved lenders and nonprofit home-counseling agencies. Information on short sales, fraud prevention and other services will also be available. 2008-09 County Final Budget The 2008-09 San Bernardino County Final Budget, which was adopted on June 24, 2008, stands as a fiscally sound spending plan. This document meets the County's budget objectives and addresses the major policy issues that face the County. As the County enters a new year and looks forward to the challenges that lie ahead in future years, it will continue to strive to efficiently and effectively meet the needs and priorities of San Bernardino County citizens.

Annual Report & 2009-10 Business Plan This document reviews the County's 2008 accomplishments and contains detailed information about each County department, including descriptions of major services, 2008-09 accomplishments and budget information, and 2009-10 goals, performance measurements, and status reports. It also contains departmental requests for the 2009-10 budget.
