Archibald, Ontario from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. The event will feature entertainment, food, games and appearances by Inland Empire '66ers talent with a portion of proceeds going to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. 2nd Annual Dragon Boat Races at Lake Gregory Regional Park
Form a team or join one and race a dragon boat down Lake Gregory on
Saturday, August 16th. Registration begins at 10 a.m. Races start at 1:30 p.m. and end at 4 p.m. $5 to enter. Must be at least 8 years old. Pick up entry forms at Lake Gregory, 24171 Lake Drive, Crestline, or San Bernardino Regional Parks, 777 E. Rialto Ave., San Bernardino.

Extreme Heat
In
response to the extreme heat
projected for San Bernardino County,
the county is encouraging residents
to exercise caution. Tips on coping
with the heat and heat-related
health issues can be found
here. A list of 66 cooling
stations throughout the county,
where residents can go to escape the
heat, can be found
here. Residents are urged to
call 911 for heat-related health
emergencies, and 211 for additional
information on how to beat the heat.

2008-09 San Bernardino County Proposed Budget
The County of San Bernardino's 2008-09 Proposed Budget has been designed to be more user friendly. It begins with an Executive Summary that includes a financing plan, budget summary, general fund financing, year-to-year comparison and policy item sections, as well as other pertinent summary information. The Proposed Budget sections following the Executive Summary contain the detail information for County departments for the period from July 1, 2008 - June 30, 2009.
