Legislative Advocacy Committee
Develops the strategy for advocacy
and information with respect to legislative issues at state and federal
levels. Committee meets the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 11:00 a.m.

Fiscal/Contracts Committee
Oversees WIA fiscal
operations, reviewing contract proposals, and makes recommendations to full
WIB on local policies, procedures and definitions consistent with federal
and state laws and regulations. Committee meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the
month at 12:00 p.m.

Business Resource Committee
The charge of this
committee is to target various community resources to better align the
Workforce Investment Board/Department of Workforce Development with industry
training needs. The Committee meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at
2:00 p.m.

Economic Development Committee
Oversees analysis of the
local labor market to ensure meeting workforce needs of current and new
employers. Committee meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 1:00 p.m.

Youth Council
Develops portions of the Strategic Plan
relating to youth, coordinates youth activities and makes recommendations on
grants and contracts to serve WIA eligible youth. The Youth Council meets on
the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 3:00 p.m.

WIB Executive Committee
The Executive
Committee consists of the Chairperson, the Vice-Chairperson, the chairperson
of each standing committee, the immediate past Chairperson, and any WIB
member that is currently serving on the State of California or National
Workforce Board.
