Geology Rocks at the County Museum
Families will enjoy their favorite "rock stars" during a Family Fun Day on Saturday, February 26 at the San Bernardino County Museum in Redlands. Activities are scheduled from 11:00 a.m. to 4 p.m.
During "Geology Rocks," visitors will take a close look at rocks and minerals and discover some of the many different kinds of rocks that make up the earth. Kids can create their own "pet rock" to take home. A $1 materials fee is requested in addition to museum general admission.
Family Fun Days are designed for parents and grandparents with children ages 3 to 12. Activities are led by the museum education division and volunteers from the Museum Youth Club.
The San Bernardino County Museum is at the California Street exit from Interstate 10 in Redlands. The museum is open Tuesdays through Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. General admission is $6 (adult), $5 (student or senior), and $4 (child aged 5 to 12). Children under five and Museum Association members are admitted free, and everyone will be admitted free on Sunday, February 6. Parking is free, and the facility is handicapped-accessible.
