Families Have Fun with Art at County Museum
The education division at the San Bernardino County Museum will offer a “Fun with Art” family workshop on Saturday, October 1, 2005 from 9 a.m. to noon. The registration deadline for the workshop is Thursday, September 29.
“Families will create a variety of art forms, discovering the many shapes that art can take,” said Nancy Kirkwood, museum educator. “We’ll use a range of media, including pencils, watercolors, clay, and natural materials.”
Workshop fees include all activities, materials, and museum admission. The first adult in the extended family costs $15; each additional family member is $12. Registration forms are available at the museum and on the museum’s web site, www.sbcountymuseum.org.
“Adults will play alongside their kids, while watching them explore and discover new ways to be creative. We’ve designed the activities for families with children ages 5 and above to encourage their creativity and sense of fun.” said Kirkwood.
The San Bernardino County Museum is at the California Street exit from Interstate 10 in Redlands. The museum’s Garden Café will be open for snacks and beverages from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, visit www.sbcountymuseum.org or call (909) 307-2669 ext. 256 / TDD/TTY: (909) 792-1462.
